Artist Statement:
My work tries to explore different aspects of my life and my memories. I tend to have a very photographic feel when I print and this is a true testament to that. I want to make something that feels familiar. In a time and space that is recognizable without knowing the true intent or memory behind the piece. I wanted something that people could connect with. This distinct memory is one I originally held with embarrassment and shame, it set a scene of when I was 17, snuck out and met who I thought was my forever person (as you could image he was not) we ended up in his basement bathroom; you can imagine how that night ended. As an artist I try hard to create works that pick at parts of me I don’t expose to people very often.”
Size: 12”x18” print on roughly 18”x22” mulberry paper
